Passenger Assistant
Looking to work with us as a Passenger Assistant?
Passenger Assistants work together with our drivers to provide a safe environment for our passengers. You will be in charge of safeguarding our passengers, ensuring they are safe and comfortable during their journey to and from school and home. You will be picked up and dropped off to your home for every journey. At times you may be required to work with varying numbers of passengers, some of whom may require extra care. The ideal candidate will have a positive mental attitude, providing a safe, stress-free environment for all those being transported. The role advertised here is for a sub-contractor Passenger Assistants, available to work with TAS Cars during contracts set out by local councils and authorities. Passenger Assistants will have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe travel environment.
- Moving passengers safely to and from the vehicle.
- Safeguarding passengers.
- Keep vehicles clean for passengers.
- Upholding a positive image of TAS Cars by maintaining good customer relations with parents, school staff and the council.
- Follow rules and policies set out by TAS Cars and local authorities.
Requirements
The following is a set of requirements are required for our Passenger Assistants:
- Be able to receive an Enhanced DBS check. This must be meet the satisfaction of the licensing authority and pass standards set by TAS Cars. This is due to the position being placed in a role of responsibility, working with young children and vulnerable adults.

- VISA Documentation (if any)
- PAT Certificate
Other Requirements
The following is a set of other requirements:
- Disability Awareness.
- Safeguarding Awareness.
- Previous Experience working with children and/or vulnerable adults.
